Fiji’s Future Leaders: RFMF Cadets Celebrate Graduation Milestone

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) celebrated a significant milestone on November 19, 2024, with the graduation of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and the 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course. The ceremony took place at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu and was officiated by Pio Tikoduadua, the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration.

During his address, Minister Tikoduadua congratulated the graduates and highlighted the importance of this moment in their military careers, describing it as the start of an impactful journey. He remarked, “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread—a path defined by responsibility and purpose.” It was a reminder for the new officers to embrace their roles as both commanders and leaders, inspiring those around them with courage and conviction.

The Minister also underscored that the graduates have a crucial role in shaping the future of the RFMF and serving the nation with integrity. He stated, “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility.” He urged them to lead with honor, uphold democratic principles, and serve their fellow soldiers and the country with excellence, reflecting their dedication and commitment.
