Fiji’s Future Leaders Graduate: A New Dawn for RFMF

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) recently celebrated a significant milestone as the graduates of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course were honored during a ceremony held at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu on November 19, 2024.

Pio Tikoduadua, the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, presided over the event and praised the graduates for their remarkable achievement in their military careers. In his speech, Tikoduadua highlighted the importance of this occasion, indicating it is the beginning of an impactful journey. He remarked, “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread—a path defined by responsibility and purpose.” He reminded the newly commissioned officers of their vital roles as both commanders and leaders, encouraging them to inspire those around them with courage and conviction.

The Minister stressed the crucial duty that the graduates would assume in shaping the future of the RFMF and serving their country. “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility,” he stated.

To conclude his address, Tikoduadua urged the graduates to lead with integrity, honor, and a strong commitment to Fiji’s democratic values. He encouraged them to serve with excellence, as a testament to their pride and duty toward their soldiers and the nation.
