Fiji’s Future Leaders: A Milestone Graduation for RFMF Cadets

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) proudly commemorated the graduation of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and the 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course during a ceremony held at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu on November 19, 2024.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, who acknowledged the significant milestone achieved by the graduates. He highlighted that this occasion marks the beginning of an important journey in their military careers.

In his speech, Tikoduadua stressed the importance of this moment, calling it a starting point on a path that comes with great responsibility and purpose. “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread,” he stated, emphasizing the transformative roles the new officers will play as both leaders and commanders. He encouraged them to inspire others through their courage and conviction.

The Minister further elaborated on the vital role these graduates will play in shaping the future of the RFMF and serving their nation. He stated, “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation,” and reinforced the notion that their development as officers now lies in their own hands.

Concluding his address, Tikoduadua urged the officers to lead with integrity, honor, and a deep commitment to the democratic principles of Fiji. He emphasized the importance of serving the country and fellow soldiers with excellence, taking pride in their duty.
