Fiji Women’s Futsal Head Coach Jerry Sam has highlighted the team’s eagerness to learn and advance as a key strength. The squad is currently in the Solomon Islands preparing for the inaugural OFC Women’s Futsal Championship, where they will face Tahiti in their opening match.
“The girls have trained hard for the tournament. They’re always looking ahead, and representing Fiji is a milestone they all hope to achieve,” Sam stated.
He noted the positive atmosphere within the team, saying, “It’s been great to see the girls blending well and encouraging each other to keep moving forward. They’re new to this, so they’re keen to learn something new every day.”
Sam added that he will be better able to assess the team’s performance following their first game against Tahiti on Saturday, and he remains confident in the squad’s capabilities.
