Fiji Women’s Futsal Head Coach Jerry Sam has highlighted the team’s eagerness to learn and progress as their most prominent quality. The squad is currently in the Solomon Islands, preparing for the inaugural OFC Women’s Futsal Championship, where they will play their first match against Tahiti.
“The girls have trained hard for the tournament. They’re always looking ahead, and representing Fiji is a milestone they all hope to achieve,” Sam stated.
He also noted that the team has been bonding well, with players encouraging each other to continuously improve. “They’re new to this, so they’re keen to learn something new every day,” he added.
Sam expressed that he would only be able to assess the team’s performance after their opening match against Tahiti on Saturday but remains confident in their capabilities.
