Fiji achieved a 1-0 victory against the Solomon Islands, securing fifth place in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2024, thanks to an impressive free-kick by Sisilia Kuladina. Both teams entered the match after narrowly missing the semi-finals, facing off in a tightly contested game.

The Solomon Islands made a last-minute adjustment to their starting lineup, substituting Bella Fa’arodo for Joyce Siosi. The first half offered limited scoring opportunities; the Solomon Islands hit the crossbar from a corner, and Fiji’s goalkeeper Miliana Maramanikabu had to be replaced after suffering a head injury.

In the second half, the Solomon Islands came close to scoring, but Kuladina ultimately made the difference by successfully converting a free-kick just outside the penalty area. Fiji managed to maintain their lead, while the Solomon Islands struggled to find an equalizer.
