The preseason player transfer window for the Fiji Football Association has officially opened, allowing districts until January 31 to enhance their teams in preparation for the upcoming season. Rohitesh Narayan, the Player Transfer Registration Manager, emphasized that any player switching to a new district will be required to commit to that team for a minimum of one year.

Players who changed districts during last year’s mid-season window are ineligible to apply for a transfer this year. Additionally, Narayan highlighted the importance of players under contract to fulfill their obligations to their respective clubs.

In team developments, Tailevu Naitasiri is anticipated to face significant player losses following their relegation last season, while Tavua, a newcomer, is expected to bolster their squad with fresh talent and experience.

This transfer window presents an opportunity for teams to strengthen their line-ups, promising an exciting season ahead. With strategic player movements, clubs can look forward to not only enhancing their performance but also building more competitive teams that could capture the attention of fans and improve overall match experiences.
