Suva defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Rawaqa’s inclusion follows a period away from the national team, stepping in for Mosese Nabose, who has withdrawn due to personal commitments. Additionally, Suva’s striker Merrill Nand and Ba’s Etonia Dogalau, who were not part of the previous selections, have also been added to the lineup. The team, coached by Rob Sherman, will begin their campaign against the Solomon Islands at 7 PM on Thursday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The Fiji squad includes Isikeli Sevanaia, Akuila Mateisuva, Jerome Narayan, Ivan Kumar, Samuela Kautoga, Gabriel Matanisiga, Filipe Baravilala, Kavaia Rawaqa, Epeli Leiroti, Sterling Vasconcellos, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Setareki Hughes, Leroy Jennings, Aporosa Yada, Tevita Waranaivalu, Merrill Nand, Dave Radrigai, Rahul Krishna, Sairusi Nalaubu, Roy Krishna, Thomas Dunn, Nabil Begg, and Etonia Dogalau.
