Fiji’s Football Squad Shines with Regional Titans

The Lautoka and Rewa players are significantly represented in the 26-member Digicel Bula Boys squad that has been announced for the upcoming DigIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series in Fiji. Each of the two clubs has contributed six players to the squad.

From Lautoka, the selected players include defenders Antonio Tuivuna and Sterling Vasconcellos, midfielders Muni Shivam Naidu, Aporosa Yada, and Sitiveni Cavuilagi, as well as striker Sairusi Nalaubu. Rewa’s representatives are goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia, defenders Ivan Kumar, Patrick Joseph, and Samuela Kautoga, along with midfielders Tevita Waranaivalu and Setareki Hughes.

Navua has three players on the roster: Filipe Baravilala, Thomas Dunn, and Rahul Krishna, while Ba and Suva each have two players included. Notably, Merill Nand, the current top scorer in the DFPL and a marksman for Suva, has not been selected for the team.

Fiji’s upcoming matches include a game against the Solomon Islands National team on September 2 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, scheduled for 7 PM. Following that, they will face the Hong Kong, China National team on Sunday, September 8, at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
