The stage is ready for one of Fiji’s premier football events as eight top teams have been announced for the Super Premier Division of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC). The tournament will feature intense competition among prominent rivals across the nation, taking place at Churchill Park in Lautoka from October 15 to 20.
Fiji Football has officially announced that the newly crowned Digicel Fiji Premier League champions, Extra Rewa FC, aim to maintain their dominance in local football. Close behind are league runners-up Extra Supermarket Labasa FC, who are eager to compete for the title. The defending champions, Rooster Chicken Ba FC, are also in the running as they strive to defend their crown and uphold their historic legacy in Fijian football.
Strong contenders such as Flick Hygiene Lautoka FC and Flowserve Engineering Navua FC will also aim to make a significant impact in this year’s tournament. Additionally, Flick Hygiene Suva FC is set to be a formidable opponent with their talented roster, while the unpredictable Nadi FC and the competitive Nadroga Marine Auto Upholstery/Sugar Taxis Nadroga FC round out the lineup for what is expected to be an exhilarating contest for the Super Premier title.
In the Premier Division, teams such as Nasinu FC, Tailevu Naitasiri FC, Bua FC, Tavua FC, Lami FC, and Seaqaqa FC will vie for their own championship honors. Meanwhile, in the Senior Division, Savusavu FC, Taveuni FC, Nadogo FC, Dreketi, Rakiraki, and Northland Tailevu FC will collide for supremacy in their respective category.
The Fiji FA has also announced that the pool draws for the 2024 FMF IDC will take place next Tuesday at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva at 11 am.
