Fiji 7s player and Silver Medalist Ponipate Loganimasi has been selected for the final 23-member Flying Fijians squad that will compete in the Pacific Nations Cup against Japan.

The team will be led by captain Tevita Ikanivere, who will play at hooker, while Eroni Mawi and Samuela Tawake will cover the loosehead and tighthead prop positions, respectively. The lock duo of Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will provide key strength in the engine room, complemented by flankers Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa, who will contribute speed and power to the team’s dynamics.

In the backline, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz are set to steer the game from halfback and flyhalf positions. The wings will be occupied by sprinters Ilaisa Droasese and Vuate Karawalevu, with a strong center partnership formed by Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi.

Elia Canakaivata will take the number eight position to solidify the forward pack. Isaiah Armstrong Ravula will take up the fullback role, responsible for generating attacking plays.

Alongside Loganimasi on the bench will be Mesulame Dolokoto, Hereti Hetet, Meli Tuni, Mesake Vocevoce, Albert Tuisue, Peni Matawalu, and Apisalome Vota.
