Fiji 7s representative and Silver Medalist Ponipate Loganimasi has been included in the final 23-member Flying Fijians squad for the Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan. Captain Tevita Ikanivere will lead the team as hooker, supported by Eroni Mawi at loosehead prop and Samuela Tawake at tighthead.
The lock pairing of Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will enhance the team’s forward strength, while flankers Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa will add speed and power.
In the backline, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will dictate play from halfback and flyhalf. The wings will feature quick players Ilaisa Droasese and Vuate Karawalevu, with Inia Tabuavou and Iosefo Masi forming a strong center combination.
Elia Canakaivata will serve as the number eight, anchoring the forward pack, while Isaiah Armstrong Ravula will start at fullback, focusing on generating attacking plays.
