Temo Mayanavanua, a second-rower for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, believes the team’s true strength lies in their spiritual connection rather than solely in physical fitness. He expressed that spiritual visits hold significant importance, emphasizing the three core pillars of a Fijian person’s life: their connection to the Vanua (land), family, and faith.
As the Flying Fijians gear up for their Pacific Nations Cup opener against Samoa, Mayanavanua stressed that spirituality serves as a guiding principle rather than just a tradition. He highlighted the importance of their relationship with God, stating that this belief is carried into both their on-field and off-field actions.
The Flying Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa this Friday at 6 PM.
