The Flying Fijians triumphed over Tonga with a score of 50-19 in their Pacific Nations Cup match held in Tonga this afternoon.

Fiji started the match with impressive momentum, scoring three tries within the first ten minutes, thanks to Iosefo Masi, Tevita Ikanivere, and Elia Canakaivata, which set a commanding tone for the game.

However, the match took a significant turn when Fiji’s Adrea Cocagi was shown a red card, allowing Tonga a chance to fight back. Tonga took advantage of the player deficit, managing to score three consecutive tries.

Despite this resurgence, Fiji extended their lead shortly before halftime, finishing the first half ahead 26-19.

In the second half, Fiji’s defense tightened, thwarting Tonga’s attempts to score. The Fijian offense remained aggressive, adding three more tries and securing a dominant victory over the Tongan team.
