Olympic silver medalist Ponipate Loganimasi is set to make his full debut for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians in their opening match against Scotland this Sunday, marking an exciting moment for both the player and the team. Loganimasi, who showcased his skills by scoring two tries while coming off the bench in Fiji’s victory over Japan during the Pacific Nations Cup, will start on the left wing.

Head coach Mick Byrne has assembled a formidable starting lineup, including Haereiti Hetet, Captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. Isoa Nasilasila and Ratu Leone Rotuisolia will play as locks, and the flanking positions will be filled by Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa, with the dynamic Elia Canakaivata at Number 8.
The crucial halves pairing of Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will be backed by the explosive pace of Loganimasi and Vuate Karawalevu on the wings. In midfield, Inia Tabuavou and Apisalome Vota will coordinate play, while the young Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula takes charge at fullback.
The reserves feature Mesulame Dolokoto, Livai Natave, Jone Koroiduadua, Mesake Vocevoce, Vilive Miramira, and Simi Kuruvoli, alongside Valetini and Nalaga, all ready to make their contributions.
