Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series of matches as his team takes on Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup 2024. He characterizes these encounters as “tough Pacific battles” that will be instrumental in the team’s development.
“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they have always been,” Byrne commented. “We’re excited to host Samoa at home and then make the trip to Tonga before heading to Japan.”
Both teams are recognized for their physical play and competitive spirit, and Byrne anticipates intense matchups. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he stated.
The Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6pm.
