Fiji’s Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series as his team takes on Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He refers to these matches as a “tough Pacific battle,” which he believes will provide valuable insights for the squad.

“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they always are,” Byrne commented. “We’re excited to host Samoa at home and then travel to Tonga before heading to Japan.”

Both teams are recognized for their physical play and strong performances, and Byrne anticipates a competitive clash. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he noted.

The Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
