Fiji’s Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH), the only locally owned private hospital in the country, is set to conduct its first open-heart surgery. This announcement was made by PSH’s Director and CEO, Parvish Kumar.
To support those who are less fortunate and unable to afford such surgery, Kumar encourages individuals in need to reach out to him at p.kumar@psh.com.fj. There are specific criteria patients must meet to qualify for either a fully complimentary procedure or a significantly reduced rate. Additionally, patients need to fulfill certain cardiac requirements to be eligible for the surgery.
Kumar stated that individuals interested in the surgery must have undergone an angiogram and completed all necessary medical assessments prior to contacting him. Reports from these examinations can be sent via email for evaluation.
For patients in need of angiogram services, inquiries can also be directed to PSH. It’s important for patients to reach out directly so that Kumar can make tailored arrangements for the services provided in collaboration with his cardiac team.
The operating theatre at PSH is equipped with advanced technology and has received accolades from visiting cardiologists from India for its world-class capabilities. The costs associated with open-heart surgeries at PSH are competitive with those in India and other locations.
PSH’s Nadi branch is conveniently located on the Queen’s Highway, opposite Nadi International Airport, while the Suva branch is situated at 107 Foster Road in Walu Bay. Cardiac services are exclusively available at the Nadi location. However, advanced procedures in neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, and orthopedics are provided at both branches.
PSH is committed to delivering high-quality medical care with the latest equipment, ensuring excellent surgical outcomes and quicker recovery times. Kumar emphasized the hospital’s dedication to health and well-being, prioritizing timely treatment for a swift return to health.
