Clothes for Good made a notable contribution of $5,000 to the Nasole Housing Assistance Relief Trust (HART) Community on Wednesday, exemplifying their commitment to goodwill and community support. As Fiji’s first non-profit store specializing in preloved clothing, Clothes for Good operates branches in Nabua and Lami, near Suva.

The profits generated from these stores are reinvested into the Fijian community, assisting local charities and addressing various social needs. Founder Hayden Ostrom emphasized the company’s mission to uplift communities like Nasole HART and enhance living standards. He underscored the significance of reaching out to struggling communities, stating that their initiative aims to foster grassroots change.

Ostrom highlighted that each purchase at their stores contributes not only to acquiring quality clothing and shoes but also plays a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need in Fiji. He proudly stated, “We are the first store in Fiji where all profit from our stores goes to helping those in need here.”

The recent donation will help address security concerns by funding the repair of community fences, following several break-ins. Ostrom reflected on the importance of safety, particularly for families affected by violence. Additionally, funds will be allocated to renovate a community hall that is currently experiencing leaks and requires urgent repairs. This hall serves as a crucial resource for children’s studies and community gatherings.

Clothes for Good’s proactive approach not only reinforces the importance of community support but also illustrates how businesses can make a lasting difference by aligning profits with charitable causes. As they continue their mission, there’s a hopeful outlook that more businesses will follow suit, igniting a wave of positive change across Fiji and beyond.
