Fiji’s sole locally owned private hospital, Pacific Specialist Healthcare, is set to conduct its first open-heart surgery. This announcement was made by Parvish Kumar, the Director and CEO of PSH.

Kumar has extended an offer for assistance to those who are underprivileged and unable to afford this significant surgery. He encourages individuals in need to reach out via email at p.kumar@psh.com.fj.

To qualify for either a fully free procedure or a significantly subsidized rate, patients must meet certain criteria, including specific cardiac requirements. Kumar emphasized that patients interested in the surgery should have completed their angiogram and all necessary medical assessments before contacting him.

Angiograms can be performed at any facility, but patients must send their reports for evaluation, along with any additional medical documentation, to Kumar via email. PSH is also available to help those seeking angiogram services.

Patients are encouraged to get in touch directly with Kumar to facilitate tailored plans for the cardiology services available in collaboration with the cardiac team.

PSH’s operating theater features cutting-edge technology and has received praise from visiting cardiologists from India for its world-class standards. The costs for open-heart surgeries at PSH are expected to compete favorably with those in India and other locations.

The Nadi branch of PSH is located on Queen’s Highway, opposite Nadi International Airport, while the Suva branch is situated at 107 Foster Road in Walu Bay. Cardiac services are specifically available at the Nadi branch, while advanced procedures in neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, and orthopedics are offered at both the Suva and Nadi branches.

PSH is committed to providing high-quality medical care and state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring excellent surgical outcomes and faster recovery times. Kumar expressed the hospital’s dedication to prioritizing patients’ health and well-being, aiming to expedite their recovery journey.
