The FIJI Water Flying Fijians delivered an impressive performance in the second half, overcoming Spain with a final score of 33-19 in their third match of the Autumn Nations Series. The game began with a competitive first half, where Spain managed to maintain a slight edge, leading 10-7 at halftime. This was due to a penalty try awarded to the hosts, along with a penalty kick from flyhalf Gonzalo Lopez, while Fiji’s Ponipate Loganimasi scored a try that was converted by Caleb Muntz.

Spain extended their lead at the start of the second half as Lopez added three more penalty kicks, bringing the score to 19-7 in favor of Spain. However, Fiji turned the tide in the 54th minute with a try from Sireli Maqala, igniting their comeback. This momentum continued as hooker Sam Matavesi scored Fiji’s second try in the 59th minute, followed closely by Captain Waisea Nayacalevu’s try just four minutes later. The scoring was capped off by debutant Setareki Turagacoke, who crossed the try line in the 69th minute, while Muntz successfully converted three tries throughout the match.
