The upcoming 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA), scheduled for February 28, is poised to achieve international acclaim thanks to robust sponsorships and a meticulous judging process. This year’s event emphasizes transparency while aligning local success with global standards, a move set to enhance the credibility and recognition of Fiji’s tourism sector.
ANZ remains the principal rights sponsor, providing essential support that enables the Secretariat to concentrate on long-term development goals. The event is further strengthened by the endorsement of 14 additional sponsors, including silver sponsor Fiji Airways and newcomer My Fiji, highlighting widespread industry support for this prestigious occasion.
Debra Sadranu, chairwoman of FETA, underscored the importance of these partnerships for the event’s sustainability and growth. “We’re very grateful to our sponsors because, clearly, the awards would not move forward without their support. It’s inspiring to see so many sponsors reaching out to us, eager to participate in an event that plays a crucial role in promoting Fiji’s tourism industry,” she said.
Sadranu also noted that renewed sponsorship agreements present opportunities for future collaborations. While partnerships currently stand firm, FETA remains open to exploring new sponsorships as various industry players express interest in contributing.
In pursuit of excellence, FETA has adopted an international collaboration approach in its judging process. A blend of local and global judges will assess the submissions, which closed in October last year. “To ensure transparency, exclusivity, and equal opportunity is really important for us. The high caliber of judges this year will elevate the quality of the awards,” Sadranu added.
The judging criteria focus primarily on the quality of the submissions. The panel’s extensive experience emphasizes the need for thorough evaluations to guarantee that only credible finalists are selected. Continuing the tradition, this year’s awards will operate under a gold, silver, and bronze tier system, thus fostering more recognition opportunities. The event will embrace the theme, “Echoes of Fiji,” brought to life by gold sponsors Rosie Holidays and Encore.
With strong sponsorship backing and a clear commitment to excellence, the 2025 FETA is set to not only celebrate Fiji’s tourism achievements but also create a platform for future growth and innovation in the industry.
