Fiji’s FCCC Makes History with First Female CEO: What Changes Lie Ahead?

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has made a significant stride in its leadership structure with the appointment of Senikavika L Jiuta as its first female Chief Executive Officer. Prior to her new role at the FCCC, Jiuta served as a Resident Magistrate, where she handled a variety of civil, criminal, and family law cases. She is no stranger to the FCCC, having occupied various senior leadership positions within the organization, including Manager of Legal and General Manager of Operations. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica, welcomed her appointment, noting that Jiuta’s expertise and perspective will be crucial for advancing consumer protection, fair competition, and sustainable economic practices in Fiji.
