Fiji’s Fashion Industry Takes Center Stage at Australian Sourcing Fair

Fiji’s textile, clothing, and footwear (TCF) capabilities were prominently featured at the Australian Sourcing Fair, attracting interest from over 900 manufacturers and suppliers from more than 15 countries. This significant event took place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 19 to 21, facilitated by the TCF Council of Fiji.

Inbamalar Wanarajan, president of the TCF Council of Fiji, emphasized that the fair served as an outstanding platform to highlight the competitiveness of Fijian manufacturers. The Council’s booth displayed a diverse range of quality products and services from local apparel producers, garnering attention from buyers and key industry stakeholders.

The Australian Sourcing Fair is held annually and is crucial as it represents Fiji’s largest export market for TCF items. Representatives from various companies, including Danam Fiji Pte. Ltd, United Apparel (Fiji) Pte. Ltd, and Nagsun Apparel Pte. Ltd, were present under the TCF Council of Fiji banner, further showcasing the island nation’s capabilities on this international stage.

This event not only underscores Fiji’s growing influence in the global textile and fashion markets but also embodies the potential for future collaboration and growth in this vibrant sector.
