Fiji’s Faiths Unite for Sacred Space Security

Fiji’s Minister for Policing, Iowane Naivalurua, announced that the Fiji Police Force is collaborating with inter-religious leaders to develop tailored security plans for places of worship. This initiative comes in the wake of security issues, particularly the recent desecration at the Samabula Shiv mandir.

In Parliament, Minister Naivalurua emphasized the proactive measures being taken to bolster protection for all religious sites across the country. Following the recent sacrilege incident, police have advised the management of the involved Hindu temple to reassess their internal security measures.
