The Fiji Men’s and Fijiana 7s teams are set to return to the field on November 30, as World Rugby has announced the initial five locations for the much-anticipated HSBC Sevens series for 2024 and 2025, with more events expected to be revealed soon.
The tournament will begin at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai, hosting the opening round from November 30 to December 1, 2024.
Following Dubai, the action moves to the DHL Stadium in Cape Town for the second round, scheduled for December 7 and 8, 2024.
Perth will take center stage for the third round of the HSBC SVNS 2025, taking place from January 24 to 26 at HBF Park.
Vancouver will host the fourth round from February 21 to 23, and the beloved Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens is confirmed for March 28-30.
In a notable development, three new teams will join the competition in 2025: the men’s teams from Kenya and Uruguay, along with the women’s team from China, all of whom earned their spots through the HSBC Sevens Challenger playoffs in Madrid in 2024.
The lineup for the women’s teams includes Fijiana, New Zealand, Australia, France, USA, Canada, Ireland, Great Britain, Japan, Brazil, Spain, and China.
In the men’s category, the teams comprise Fiji, Argentina, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, France, South Africa, Great Britain, the USA, Spain, Uruguay, and Kenya. Additional details regarding the remaining events in the HSBC SVNS 2025 series, including the Grand Final, will be provided in due course.
