On Wednesday, twelve entrepreneurs celebrated their graduation from the Fiji Enterprise Engine (FEE) program in Suva, marking the sixth cohort of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to take part in this impactful business accelerator initiative.
Filimoni Vosarogo, the Chief Guest and Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, emphasized the significance of the FEE program, highlighting the resilience, determination, and commitment needed to succeed in entrepreneurial ventures. He expressed optimism about the wide array of opportunities available to the graduates, underscoring the transformative nature of the program.
Edward Bernard, the CEO of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), commended the MSME owners for their dedication to the six-month program, designed to equip them with vital tools and knowledge to enhance their business capacities. He noted that this particular cohort was the first to pilot the Entrepreneurial Business System with Hummingbird over the past three months, marking a significant milestone in the program’s evolution.
The FEE program has already contributed to the growth of over 76 businesses, with the latest graduates raising that number to a total of 88 businesses now benefitting from this initiative. The program continues to receive support from the FCEF, illustrating its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Fiji.
This program’s achievements reflect a bright future for local businesses and demonstrate the potential for growth and innovation within the MSME sector. Such initiatives play a crucial role in empowering entrepreneurs and contributing to the broader economic development of Fiji.
In summary, the graduation of these twelve business owners is not just an individual achievement but a collective step forward for the entrepreneurial landscape in Fiji, fostering a spirit of resilience and innovation that bodes well for the future.
