The Ministry of Education has announced a promising increase in the pass rate for the Fiji Eighth Year Examination (FEYE), achieving a 69% pass rate in 2024 compared to 67% in 2023. Education Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that the provisional results will be available tomorrow, November 22, 2024.
Students will have a 30-day period to review their results, during which they can request a mark recount for a fee of $5 per subject or a remark for $25 per subject. This process allows students the chance to ensure their results accurately reflect their performance.
This year, 18,968 students participated in the examination, which was conducted across 712 centers. Students can check their results on the official website using their unique examination identification number and personal credentials.
The increase in the pass rate is a positive indicator of improvements in the education system, reflecting both student dedication and possible enhancements in teaching methodologies. The results could inspire more students to pursue academic success and encourage ongoing support for educational initiatives in Fiji.
