Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka today oversaw the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Lautoka Seventh Day Adventist High School, a significant advancement for Fiji’s education system. The new school is set to open in 2026, expanding educational opportunities for children in the area.

During the ceremony, Rabuka emphasized the importance of this development, expressing gratitude to the Seventh Day Adventist Church for its vital role in the education sector. He noted that religious institutions have substantially contributed to education in Fiji, managing approximately 95% of the country’s schools.

Rabuka reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering partnerships with religious groups and other stakeholders to enhance the education sector. He called for collaboration among all involved parties to ensure the success of the school project.

Currently, the SDA Church operates three high schools and twelve primary schools in Fiji, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to improving education in the region.
