This timely action coincides with concerns raised by Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu regarding the anticipated escalation of drug activity due to upcoming tourism developments in the northern part of Fiji. Notably, areas such as Savusavu and the Natewa Peninsula have been highlighted for their existing drug activity, underscoring the need for proactive measures in preparation for potential challenges ahead.
