Fiji’s Diplomatic Shuffle: Why Was Pita Wise’s Appointment Scrapped?

The Public Service Commission has rescinded the appointment of Pita Wise, the former Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, as Fiji’s Head of Mission to Japan. The PSC confirmed this decision in a statement following Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s announcement that Wise had been chosen to serve as Fiji’s High Commissioner to Japan.
