The Public Service Commission has rescinded the appointment of Pita Wise, former Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, as Fiji’s High Commissioner to Japan. The commission confirmed this decision in a statement following Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s announcement regarding Wise’s selection for the role. The Commission clarified that the decision was made in light of the circumstances. Wise had previously resigned from his position after serving for more than 18 months, citing personal reasons.
