Tourism Fiji has reported remarkable achievements in its digital marketing performance for the year 2024, marking a significant surge in social media engagement and website traffic. Srishti Narayan, the Chief Marketing Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the progress, stating that the results reflect the success of their integrated marketing strategy with a strong emphasis on digital outreach.
Narayan noted that the enhanced online engagement is not only reaching more travelers but also fostering deeper connections, keeping Fiji at the forefront of potential vacation planners’ minds. The organization recorded a staggering 37,221 leads directed to local operators, indicating a 131 percent increase from the previous year. Furthermore, promotional offers tracked 27,176 clicks, showcasing a 119 percent rise.
The notable growth in website traffic was highlighted by a historic milestone where, for the first time, Tourism Fiji’s website exceeded one million sessions in a single month. November and December alone accounted for 1.38 million sessions, demonstrating increases of 574 percent and 282 percent, respectively, compared to the same months in 2023. Overall, Tourism Fiji engaged 5.19 million individual users in 2024, a 209 percent increase from the prior year, culminating in a total of 8.93 million sessions for the year—an impressive 313 percent rise from 2023.
Tourism Fiji’s efforts not only enhance its visibility as a travel destination but also significantly benefit local operators by driving more traffic and increasing booking potential.
