The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched thirteen new websites, including one main site for the Ministry and twelve for its Missions. These sites have been redesigned to be interactive and user-friendly.

During the launch, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Lenora Qereqeretabua stated that this initiative aims to improve service delivery and enhance real-time connections between Fiji’s Missions abroad and their customers.

Qereqeretabua emphasized that the updated websites demonstrate the Ministry’s dedication to leveraging digital tools to expand Fiji’s diplomatic influence by offering timely information on Fiji’s multilateral and bilateral relations, with a focus on boosting investment returns and economic growth.

A key feature of the redesigned website is the introduction of the “Fijian Diaspora Registration Portal,” allowing Fijians living overseas to register with the Ministry. This portal is expected to gather critical data that will inform policy decisions, especially when engaging with the Fijian diaspora during crises.

The new website serves as a comprehensive resource for sharing information about the Ministry’s key initiatives, including the first Foreign Policy White Paper and Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s vision of the Pacific as an Ocean of Peace.

Fijians worldwide can now access “Citizens Connect and Consular Services,” facilitating passport renewal applications and bookings. The enhanced website will allow Fijian citizens to easily contact their nearest Mission and schedule appointments for assistance or consultations.

Members of the diaspora will also be able to track updates and advisories from Fiji Missions through the revamped site. Another significant aspect is the Ministry’s ability to receive feedback from users, providing them with a platform to share suggestions on improving services.

The newly launched websites include Fiji’s two Permanent Missions in New York and Geneva, five High Commissions in Canberra, Wellington, London, New Delhi, and Port Moresby, as well as five Embassies in Jakarta, Tokyo, Washington D.C., Beijing, and Abu Dhabi.

Fijians can now easily access information about the Ministry and its Missions worldwide with just a click. The new websites are available at www.foreignaffairs.gov.fj.
