Fiji’s Daily Update: Weather, Events, and Power Outages

Here’s your essential information for today.

Weather: A trough of low pressure bringing clouds and rain continues to affect the northern regions. A southerly wind flow is present over Fiji. Expect occasional rain, sometimes heavy, and possible isolated thunderstorms in Macuata, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, nearby smaller islands, Cikobia, Qelelevu, and the northern Lau group. Rain is expected to clear by later today. Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers may occur over eastern and inland areas of Viti Levu, the Lomaiviti group, and the remaining Lau group, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Other regions are expected to be mostly fine. Winds will be moderate to fresh from the northeast to southerly, with winds becoming predominantly southerly later today. Expect moderate to rough seas and cool nights.
