Telecom Fiji has teamed up with Allot Communications, a leading global provider of ICT security solutions, to launch Fiji’s first network-based cybersecurity services for businesses. This partnership positions Telecom Fiji as one of the pioneering telecom operators in the region to offer such advanced cyber protection capabilities.
In a recent announcement, Telecom Fiji highlighted that this new solution will protect businesses from a variety of cyber threats, including malware that could disrupt operations, ransomware which encrypts critical data demanding payment for decryption, phishing attacks aimed at stealing login credentials and personal information, and harmful websites that may infect devices with malware or attempt data theft.
Charles Goundar, CEO of Telecom Fiji, emphasized the increasing demand for sophisticated security measures in today’s digital landscape. He stated that the collaboration with Allot allows Telecom Fiji to deliver a strong and dependable cybersecurity solution, safeguarding businesses and their data from numerous cyber risks.
The platform will enable Telecom Fiji to provide unified and managed cybersecurity services that function smoothly at the network level, offering an additional layer of defense against potential threats.
Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President of Sales at Allot for the Asia Pacific region, expressed that this partnership introduces Allot Secure to various businesses and communities in Fiji. He noted that their network-based threat protection is designed to offer comprehensive and seamless security, allowing companies to operate with confidence amid increasingly complex cyber threats.
