Fiji’s Culinary Stars Shine at Inaugural MSME Cook-off!

Fiji’s inaugural Micro, Small Medium and Enterprise Cook-off featured 12 contestants from the culinary sector at Paridiso Restaurant near Albert Park in Suva.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for MSME Manoa Kamikamica highlighted that the event serves as a vital platform for street-food MSMEs in Fiji to gain the recognition they deserve, showcasing the country’s remarkable culinary talents.

“This exciting event recreates an open street food setup similar to street food markets found in various destinations around the world,” Kamikamica said.

He added, “This is an opportunity for street vendors to learn, taste, and share food, along with skills from esteemed chefs present today, to elevate their crafts to new heights.”

The Cook-Off allowed local street-food providers to display their unique dishes.

Marauna Natural Food secured first place, while Bula Bites achieved second place, and Samdhins Karahi took third.
