The Commission of Inquiry into the controversy surrounding the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) may include members from overseas. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka confirmed in response to inquiries that this option is currently being considered. He stated that the Terms of Reference for the inquiry have been drafted and will be made public soon, indicating that they are still in the drafting stage. Mr. Rabuka noted that the Commission would investigate the appointment of FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali as well as allegations raised by former acting Commissioner Francis Pulewai.
