Fiji’s Commitment to Global Unity: Insights from Rabuka’s Talks with the UN

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka engaged in bilateral discussions with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres yesterday, prior to the 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Meeting in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. Rabuka emphasized that their talks reinforced Fiji’s steadfast dedication to the principles of the UN Charter since it became a member in 1970. He stated that Fiji firmly believes that multilateralism is crucial for collectively addressing global challenges. “Our ongoing participation on the international stage reflects our resilience and the meaningful contributions we make toward creating a better world,” he remarked. Additionally, Rabuka participated in a service at the Centenary Church alongside other Pacific Island Leaders, where they sought guidance and unity as they face the challenges and opportunities in their region.
