The recent senior 200m finals at the Coca-Cola Games captivated viewers with thrilling races and unexpected twists, showcasing standout performances from athletes across various schools. Queen Victoria School’s Setareki Saukilagi claimed the gold medal in the boys’ race, although his victory was momentarily clouded by the disqualification of Ratu Kadavulevu School’s champion, Samuela Navitalai, due to a false start. Nathaniel Chand of Suva Grammar School was impressive in his efforts, finishing with the silver medal.
On the girls’ side, Frances Tuva from Natabua High School proved her athletic prowess by securing gold in the senior girls’ 200m final, further adding to her impressive medal collection.
