A coastal inundation alert that was in place for low-lying coastal areas of Southern Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, as well as the Central and Southern Lau Groups, has been lifted.

According to the Fiji Meteorological Service, a high-pressure system located to the far south of Fiji is expected to gradually move eastward, generating moderate southerly swells and reducing the risk of coastal inundation in the affected areas.

The Nadi Weather Office has indicated that the chance of sea flooding in coastal regions is now very low to low, especially during high tides.
