Pacific Energy is launching a charitable initiative by installing collection bins at eight key service stations across Fiji in partnership with Atpack Fiji Ltd. This effort is designed to support a Christmas gift and stationery drive aimed at assisting children from families participating in the Collection Pillars of Recycling (CPR) program.
The CPR program is essential for environmental sustainability as it enables families to collect recyclables from dump sites and public spaces, despite facing significant challenges. According to Stephane Cadel, the CEO of Pacific Energy, this marks the second consecutive year of collaboration with the Pacific Recycling Foundation for this initiative.
Cadel expressed pride in expanding their outreach this year by placing collection bins at their service stations, allowing customers to donate gifts and supplies for the children of these hardworking families. The campaign aims to bring cheer and essential school supplies to those children who otherwise might not have access to such necessities.
Highlighting the spirit of community engagement, Cadel emphasized that at Pacific Energy, true partnership transcends mere business dealings and is founded on shared values and connections with the community.
The collection bins are available at Pacific Energy locations in Nabua, Kinoya, Nausori, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba. Gifts can be dropped off until Wednesday, December 4, providing a window for generous contributions.
This initiative not only aims to brighten the holiday season for children in need but also reinforces the importance of community involvement in environmental sustainability efforts.
In summary, this drive showcases the positive impact that corporate social responsibility initiatives can have on local communities, especially during the holiday season, and highlights the collaborative efforts to make a difference in the lives of those who contribute to environmental sustainability.
