Former Ministers Kalaveti Ravu and Lynda Tabuya are on the verge of being reinstated as Cabinet or Deputy Ministers, according to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s recent announcement outside Parliament. The Prime Minister mentioned that their return to ministerial roles could occur imminently, possibly even as soon as tomorrow.
Lynda Tabuya, who previously served as Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection, was removed from her position last year amid controversy surrounding a private video. Recently, Rabuka identified her as a viable candidate for the Ministry of Information.
In contrast, Kalaveti Ravu, who once held the position of Minister for Fisheries, faced legal troubles due to allegations of abuse of office but was ultimately acquitted. His return to a ministerial role follows scrutiny related to these charges.
