Telecom Fiji has formed a partnership with global ICT security provider Allot Communications to launch Fiji’s inaugural network-based cybersecurity solutions for businesses. This collaboration marks Telecom Fiji as one of the pioneering telecom companies in the region to offer such advanced cyber protection services.
In a recent statement, Telecom Fiji announced that the new solution will defend businesses against a wide array of cyber threats, including malware that disrupts operations or steals sensitive data, ransomware that compromises critical information for ransom, phishing attacks targeting login credentials and personal data, and harmful websites that may infect devices with malware.
Charles Goundar, CEO of Telecom Fiji, emphasized the importance of robust security measures in today’s digital landscape. He stated, “Our partnership with Allot empowers us to provide businesses with a solid and dependable cybersecurity solution, safeguarding their operations and data from a broad spectrum of cyber threats.”
The collaboration will allow Telecom to offer managed cybersecurity solutions that function seamlessly at the network level, thereby enhancing the protection businesses receive against potential threats.
Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific at Allot, expressed confidence that the partnership would deliver Allot Secure to enterprises and communities in Fiji. He noted, “Our network-based threat protection solution is crafted to provide seamless and comprehensive security, enabling businesses to operate with assurance and resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.”
