Fiji’s Business Revolution: Start a Company in Just 14 Days!

The businessNOW FIJI e-Services platform, aimed at significantly reducing the time required to start a business in Fiji, was launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica last week.

This initiative, led by the Ministry of Trade, Co-operatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications, seeks to enhance the ease of conducting business in Fiji by consolidating essential government services into a single, efficient digital platform.

The platform includes eight integrated e-services designed for starting a business, providing both Fijian and international entrepreneurs with a streamlined process that boasts a turnaround time of just 14 days for all complete applications, according to a ministry statement.

During the launch event, Mr. Kamikamica highlighted the significance of promoting innovation and sustainable practices as crucial for economic growth and improving the quality of life for Fijians. He noted that the integrated e-services reflect the Fijian Government’s continuous efforts to encourage investment opportunities and foster a supportive business environment.

“We are excited to unveil the businessNOW FIJI platform, marking a new era of opportunity and prosperity for our nation,” Mr. Kamikamica stated. He added that the event not only celebrates their accomplishments but also underscores their commitment to sustainability and resilience amid global challenges.

The launch attracted key figures, including government officials, business leaders, and innovators, who observed the platform as a means to promote collaboration across various sectors and explore new growth opportunities in Fiji.

The ministry anticipates that this project will redefine Fiji’s position as a leader in the Pacific region and highlight its innovative strategies for transforming the nation into a dynamic economic hub.
