The Fiji National University’s Fiji Business Excellence Awards celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, recognizing outstanding businesses across the nation. This event emphasized the dedication and resilience of Fiji’s top entrepreneurs and companies in their pursuit of excellence.
FNU’s vice-chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, highlighted that the Silver Jubilee signifies an ongoing journey rather than a final destination, reinforcing the importance of continuous improvement for the betterment of both the economy and society.
Mark One Apparel’s managing director, Mark Halabe, who received the prestigious Business Excellence President Award, encouraged others to embrace this challenge as part of their organizational journey.
The evening also marked the final public engagement of the outgoing president, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
Winners of various awards included:
– *2024 Business Excellence Presidents Award*: Future Farms Limited, iTaukei Land Trust Board, Mark One Apparel, and Datec Fiji.
– *2024 Business Excellence Award*: Raffe Group of Hotels and Resorts, Hygiene and Sanitization Services (Fiji), Flick Hygiene, and DHL Express (Fiji).
– *2024 Business Excellence Achievement Award*: Zens Medical Centres, Health Care (Fiji), and National Fire Authority.
– *2024 Business Excellence Commitment Award*: Capital Go Max Freights, Kastle (Fiji), Ba Motor Parts, and Oceania Hospitals.
Future Farms Ltd’s CEO, Stanley Raniga, was honored with the APO National Award. Mark Halabe also received the FBEA Green Sustainability Award for his commitment to environmentally friendly practices.
Additionally, several evaluators were recognized for their lengthy service, reflecting the commitment to excellence within the community.
