Labasa forward Rusiate Doidoi has been selected to join the Fiji National Football Team for the upcoming MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in the Solomon Islands. He is replacing Mosese Nabose of Tailevu Naitasiri, who had to withdraw from the squad due to work obligations.

Under the guidance of head coach Marika Rodu, the Bula Boys have been training diligently since last Sunday and are set to depart for the Solomon Islands tomorrow. Coach Rodu expressed optimism about the team’s capabilities, suggesting that Doidoi’s addition will bolster their attacking options as they prepare for the tournament.

The MSG Prime Minister’s Cup serves as an important platform for teams from the Melanesian Spearhead Group, aiming to showcase regional talent and foster unity among the member countries.

Fiji’s schedule for the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup kicks off with their first match against Vanuatu on Thursday, December 8, at 2 PM. Following that, they’ll face Papua New Guinea on Sunday, December 15, at 5 PM. The Bula Boys will then play the Solomon Islands Development team on Wednesday, December 18, at 7 PM, before concluding the group stage against the Solomon Islands on Saturday, December 21, at 7 PM.

This opportunity for Doidoi and the Bula Boys not only highlights the depth of talent in Fijian football but also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and resilience as they aim to make their mark in the tournament. With a well-rounded squad and the support of their fans, Fiji is poised for a competitive showing in the MSG Cup.
