Fiji’s Bula Boys: Stars Align for Tri-Nations Showdown

Fiji’s Lautoka and Rewa players are prominently featured in the 26-member Digicel Bula Boys squad selected for the upcoming FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series in Fiji. Each of these districts contributes six players to the team.

From Lautoka, the selected players include defenders Antonio Tuivuna and Sterling Vasconcellos, midfielders Muni Shivam Naidu, Aporosa Yada, and Sitiveni Cavuilagi, as well as striker Sairusi Nalaubu. Rewa’s contingent consists of goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia, defenders Ivan Kumar, Patrick Joseph, and Samuela Kautoga, along with midfielders Tevita Waranaivalu and Setareki Hughes.

Navua has three representatives: Filipe Baravilala, Thomas Dunn, and Rahul Krishna, while Ba and Suva each contribute two players. Notably, the current top scorer of the Digicel Fiji Premier League and Suva forward, Merill Nand, has been excluded from the squad.

Fiji is set to play against the Solomon Islands National team on September 2 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva at 7 PM, followed by a match against the Hong Kong, China National team on September 8 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The 26-member squad includes: Isikeli Sevanaia, Jerome Narayan, Akuila Mateisuva, Samuela Kautoga, Patrick Joseph, Sterling Vasconcellos, Antonio Tuivuna, Mosese Nabose, Filipe Baravilala, Ivan Kumar, Muni Shivam Naidu, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Thomas Dunn, Mohammed Raheem, Setareki Hughes, Aporosa Yada, Nabil Begg, James Hoyt, Tevita Waranaivalu, Dave Radrigai, Sairusi Nalaubu, Etonia Dogalau, Roy Krishna, Mohammed Aymaan, Rahul Krishna, and Melvin Mani.
