Fiji’s Bula Boys Squad: Who’s In and Who’s Out?

Fiji FACT and Battle of Giants champions Lautoka and Rewa are prominently featured in the 26-member squad selected for the upcoming Digicel Bula Boys team, which will participate in the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series in Fiji next month.

Each of the two districts has contributed six players to the squad. From Lautoka, defenders Antonio Tuivuna and Sterling Vasconcellos, midfielders Muni Shivam Naidu, Aporosa Yada, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, and striker Sairusi Nalaubu have been chosen.

Rewa’s representation includes goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia, defenders Ivan Kumar, Patrick Joseph, and Samuela Kautoga, along with midfielders Tevita Waranaivalu and Setareki Hughes.

Navua has three representatives: Filipe Baravilala, Thomas Dunn, and Rahul Krishna, while Ba and Suva each have two players. Notably absent from the squad is Merill Nand, the current top scorer in the DFPL and a standout player for Suva.

Fiji is scheduled to compete against the Solomon Islands National team on September 2 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva at 7 PM, followed by a match against the Hong Kong, China National team on Sunday, September 8, at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The complete 26-member squad includes Isikeli Sevanaia, Jerome Narayan, Akuila Mateisuva, Samuela Kautoga, Patrick Joseph, Sterling Vasconcellos, Antonio Tuivuna, Mosese Nabose, Filipe Baravilala, Ivan Kumar, Muni Shivam Naidu, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Thomas Dunn, Mohammed Raheem, Setareki Hughes, Aporosa Yada, Nabil Begg, James Hoyt, Tevita Waranaivalu, Dave Radrigai, Sairusi Nalaubu, Etonia Dogalau, Roy Krishna, Mohammed Aymaan, Rahul Krishna, and Melvin Mani.
