Marika Rodu is set to take the helm of the Bula Boys as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Ministers Cup taking place this week in the Solomon Islands. Rodu is stepping up to fill the role of head coach in the absence of Rob Sherman, who is unable to participate due to prior personal commitments. He will be joined by Fiji FA Technical Director Timo Jankowski as his assistant coach.

The team will embark on their journey today and has a challenging schedule ahead. They are scheduled to face Vanuatu on Thursday at 2 PM, followed by a match against Papua New Guinea on Sunday at 5 PM. The following Wednesday, they will compete against the Solomon Islands Development team at 7 PM. Fiji’s campaign will culminate in a crucial match against the host country, Solomon Islands, next Saturday at 7 PM.

As Fiji prepares for this important tournament, Rodu’s leadership could bring a fresh perspective and new strategies to the Bula Boys, which might prove beneficial in their quest for success in the matches ahead.

This event presents an excellent opportunity for the team to showcase their skills and resilience under new coaching. Fans can look forward to an exciting series of games as the team aims to make a strong impact in the tournament.
